PRESS RELEASE FROM SATGAS MBG KADIN
28/08/2025On August 22, 2025, in Semarang, six Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) were inaugurated simultaneously to distribute free nutritious meals (MBG). These facilities were built by the Kadin Gotong Royong MBG Task Force (“Satgas MBG Kadin”), and the inauguration was led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Dadan Hindayana, Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), accompanied by Mr. Anindya N. Bakrie, B.Sc., MBA, Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, and Mr. Handojo S. Muljadi, Head of the MBG Kadin Task Force and Executive Chairman of Tempo Scan Group.
The six (6) SPPGs inaugurated are located in Bekasi, Depok, Bandung, Cirebon, Tegal, and Semarang, and will hereafter be referred to as the Satgas MBG Kadin SPPGs. The full construction costs were funded through CSR support from Tempo Scan.
The construction of these SPPGs is a concrete demonstration of Kadin's role as a strategic partner of the government, supporting the success of the MBG Program initiated by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. Looking ahead, Kadin aims to build 1,000 SPPGs in cooperation with Kadin members nationwide, mobilized through the Satgas MBG Kadin.
In carrying out its duties, the Satgas MBG Kadin has several main missions:
- Satgas MBG Kadin’s mission is to act as an incubator for Kadin members, especially those from regional areas and MSME entrepreneurs, to help them build and operate their own SPPGs (“Satgas MBG Kadin Partners”). This initiative is intended to help partners sustain their businesses over the long term.
- Satgas MBG Kadin also seeks to launch the movement of 'Democratization of Opportunity,' ensuring that more Kadin members have equal access and opportunities to participate as Satgas MBG Kadin Partners.
- Another mission of Satgas MBG Kadin is to serve as a recruitment platform for MSME entrepreneurs in the regions, encouraging them to join as Kadin members. Membership brings tangible benefits, and is also a prerequisite to becoming a Satgas MBG Kadin Partner.
To achieve its main missions, within just four (4) months the Satgas MBG Kadin has systematically completed several tangible programs:
- Satgas MBG Kadin has completed the construction and operation of six SPPGs, serving as pilot projects. These were officially inaugurated on August 22, 2025, with a target of approximately 24,000 beneficiaries. These pilot SPPGs also serve as training centers for Satgas MBG Kadin Partners, who have been verified as BGN Partners.
- On May 13, 2025, Satgas MBG Kadin inaugurated its office, which also serves as a Consultation and Assistance Center. Located on the 5th floor of the Tempo Scan Tower, this office functions as a training hub for Kadin members interested in developing SPPGs. Since opening, it has been used by, among others, the Kadin Institute to train prospective Satgas MBG Kadin Partners.
- Satgas MBG Kadin has also published a Guidebook, developed from direct experience (learning by doing) gained during the construction of the pilot SPPGs. This Guidebook serves as an accurate and credible reference for Kadin members wishing to participate in developing and operating SPPGs, providing hands-on guidance aligned with BGN standards.
- In addition, Satgas MBG Kadin has established the Supra Merah Putih Foundation, officially approved by BGN as a Special Partner. This foundation is expected to partner with a sufficient number of SPPG operators, supporting Kadin in its goal of building 1,000 SPPGs collaboratively. The foundation will provide an official, fast, and coordinated registration process for members’ SPPGs, free of charge.
- Satgas MBG Kadin has also developed communication platforms, including an official website and social media accounts. These provide transparent access to information for Kadin members, including details on SPPG registration through partnerships with the Supra Merah Putih Foundation.
- The Satgas MBG Kadin has also introduced financing options in collaboration with PT Tempo Utama Finance, to support members in establishing SPPGs. Priority is given to MSME entrepreneurs, with financing covering building renovations, kitchen and dining equipment, and meal delivery vehicles.
Let us join hands to ensure the success of the MBG Program, which is a commitment of President Prabowo Subianto to create a healthy, intelligent, and high-quality generation, enabling our nation to achieve the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision.
